Hermia is an independent (but slightly stubborn) girl.
She worried her father by eloping with her lover (did she really elope? Or did she have an unpleasant adventure in the forest?)
I like Hermia for being brave and strong and for holding her own against cruel Athenian laws. She fought past every obstacle in the path of her love. I think that's why Oberon's magic helped her win.
Meet my very strict master and King of the Fairies, Oberon. He is a person with contrasting qualities. He is spiteful as well as kind; forgiving as well as harsh.
What's that? You didn't understand? Alright, I'll explain. He was spiteful with that prank on Titania (even though I enjoyed it), but kind to Helena. He was harsh on Titania by fighting with her and making such a huge drama for that changeling boy (what? That's what I think. I'm not even saying it to his face. Excuse me? What gave you the right to call me a hypocrite?). Yet he forgave Titania the moment she gave him the changeling boy. NOW do you understand?
